The Burraga Foundation recognises self-determination around First Nations languages, knowledges and cultures.
We follow ethical protocols and respect First Nations Cultural and Intellectual Property (ACIP) around First Nations languages and other forms of cultural knowledge.
We work closely with you and all stakeholders within your community to:
Provide a clear checklist of requirements, endorsements, and agreements that must be in place before content can be made public via the platform.
Ensure appropriate copyright recognition, authorisation, and permissions for materials, images, and sounds are demonstrated and maintained.
Develop a process for content creation while restricting public publishing until protocols, assurances, and community endorsements are in place for content to be shared.
Create process for content to be appropriately managed in the event of sorry business and respectfully adhering to contributors wishes.
Our shared goal is to create a secure digital space where:
Communities determine how technology supports First Nations language revitalisation On-Country.
Technology is accessible and free for all communities that wish to use it alongside Language Educators.
Collaboration and sharing ideas, resources, and traditional practices support language revitalisation for all.
We look forward to working with you on this important journey
